PSQ Annual BBQ – Updated

Hosted this year by the Queensland Camera Group, the BBQ will run from 10am until 2pm.

This event is open to all PSQ clubs and their members, including all ACC members.

The location is: The Rocks Riverside Park, Area 2 (The Green), Counihan Road, Seventeen Mile Rocks, Brisbane.

The day will include lunch and some photographic activities:

UNSEEN ANGLES – THE ART OF REFRACTED & ABSTRACT VISION

The fun starts with a relaxed and inspiring presentation from popular 2026 PSQ workshop presenter, Andrew
Kennedy, ‘Scene Angles – The Photograph Was Always There’. Andrew will encourage us to shift our mindset — to
stop searching for the photograph and start seeing the one that is already there.
Then it’s our turn to put that idea into practice! Armed with mirrors, lens balls, coloured filters (all supplied) and a
healthy dose of curiosity, we’ll explore the park as a playground for abstract photography — seeing the ordinary in
extraordinary ways.
You can experiment with the props, team up with fellow photographers and share ideas, or simply wander off and
discover your own visions. No experience required — just bring your camera (or phone), your imagination, and be
ready to look at the world from a completely different angle.
