Join us for fun-filled morning where you’ll have to be on your toes for our 2026 Hunt & Shoot.

This year it will be held in Southbank.

We will meet at the Wheel of Brisbane at 9:30am, and there you will be given a list of “items” you’ll need to hunt down and shoot. It’s your interpretation of the item. The starter’s gun will figuratively go off at 10:00am and you will only have 2 hours to complete this challenge.

  
Afterwards, we’ll meet up for lunch at 12:15pm at the Ship Inn near the Goodwill Bridge.

Rules of Engagement

Rules of the Game:

  • Seven (7) topics will be revealed on the day and must be shot within a strict 2-hour time period – between 10:00am and midday.
  • JPGs only, RAW images will be rejected; Resize to normal competition entry size: no larger than 1920px width X 1080px depth and 2mb.
  • Basic editing only allowed, confined to cropping and adjusting exposure and tonalities.
  • No creative post-production effects allowed. Nothing added or removed. No use of AI.
  • Choose one (1) image for each subject.

 

Submission of images (7):

  • Upload to MyPhotoClub by 11:59 the next night – Sunday, 19th July. The system will not allow you to enter after this time so there are no late entries.
  • Title your image with the subject name only. Your member number will be added automatically by the website to identify you.  (EG:  Round).

 

Judging of entries:

  • Club members will select their favourite entries on our Program night on Monday, 20th July.
  • One winner will be chosen from each of the seven topics and an overall Grand Champion will be voted on.
  • Prizes for all winners.
