Lake Perseverance Photography Weekend
31 July – 2 August · Darling Downs, QLD · 2 nights accommodation included
Escape the city and spend a weekend in one of Queensland’s most scenic corners. Nestled in the Darling Downs just 45 minutes from Toowoomba, Lake Perseverance offers breathtaking landscapes, incredible wildlife, and golden light that photographers dream about — all shared with your favourite club mates.
The area enjoys a mild Darling Downs climate, with warm summers, cool winters, and those golden autumn and winter days that make every shot look like a painting. August is perfect — crisp, clear air, no crowds, and light that photographers live for.
The weekend at a glance
FRI 31 | Arrive, settle in & learn Check in from midday and get your bearings. At 5pm, sharpen your skills with a hands-on training session from Tryg Helander. Then relax over a casual self-catered dinner — the fully-equipped kitchen has you covered. |
SAT 1 | Shoot, explore & feast Rise early for a stunning sunrise shoot — locations are yours to choose. Spend the day exploring with your photography mates, then reunite for a club BBQ. The club supplies the salads, onions and condiments — just bring your meat or fish and your best stories. |
SUN 2 | One last sunrise & head home Another optional sunrise shoot before packing up by midday. Many members continue exploring together and grab a final lunch before the journey home — a perfect end to a perfect weekend. |
