Loraine Sedgman

I have always been a “happy snapper”, but when Marilyn started taking photography seriously, I thought it could be something we could enjoy together. I got my first DSLR in 2021. We go out together or with groups and I spent countless hours watching YouTube trying to work out how to use a digital camera.

My personal “panning’ journey started in 2022 at Kilcoy Motocross Club meets. A friend’s son raced there. I spent a year tripping out there for club meets. Next came Lakeside. Lakeside Raceway is only 5min drive from home, so I have been a regular out there. I am really enjoying sports/action photography and have set myself a goal of shooting 50 sports over the next couple of years. My motto is “IF IT MOVES, I’LL SHOOT IT”.

To the future. Other areas I am interested in are Architecture, Wildlife, Scapes and I would like to get into Astro. So the plan for next year is to spend less time panning and dedicate more time to learning other styles of photography.

The photos I have selected aren’t necessarily good photos, but photos depicting my journey thus far and the directions in which I would like to progress.
